Change In Design Improved Dolls,
We have some serious Monster High fans in the family, but the first run of dolls had problems with their arm and leg joints. Mattel’s customer service was excellent in responding to those problems for us so we stayed with the product line. The Dead Tired and Gloom Beach dolls have a new material being used for the leg attachments. We’ve had much better joint strength on these dolls. The Dead Tired series is also wearing more clothing than most of the other dolls, something I don’t mind at all. Great gift for a sleepover birthday party, or any girl in the Barbie age range who doesn’t skew super girly but still likes dolls.

Great Basic Frankie,
Are you looking for an affordable ‘starter’ doll for your prospective Monster High fan? This Frankie comes highly recommended. I’ve been a fan of the Monster High line since it arrived and ‘Dead Tired’ Frankie is not only a pretty doll, but also is more affordable for those shopping on a budget. Frankie has pony-tailed hair, awesome heels, a doll sized faux MP3 player/speakers, comb, and stand. While her pajama’s are pretty basic, they are really cute! Plus, as she’s a basic, if you don’t feel like keeping her factory, you can easily buy a fashion pack or make your own fashions for her.
Earlier in the line, dolls had limb problems. They have jointed elbows and knees that pull out (for changing outfits). I haven’t had any problems with limbs falling out unintentionally in’Dead Tired’, ‘Schools Out’, or the ‘Classroom’ assortment, so I think Mattel has figured out a better way to make the joints a little more sturdy. I wouldn’t give this doll to a child who likes to bite, gnaw, and/or torture the doll, but anyone who is kind to their dolls should be fine with this Frankie.

Dead Tired Frankie Stein,
This doll is really cute and I am really glad I bought it. I got it for 12 bucks with Amazon Prime, so I didn’t have to pay shipping; what a steal! I am not sure if I want to take her out of the box quite yet. The box is quite decorative and I am a collector of dolls and action figures so taking her out of the box might be a painful ordeal. I’m just going to keep her in the box for now.
I like the little details on this doll, her eyes are different colors (green and blue), she has many stitches, and her face is painted really nicely. Frankie has white and black hair and her skin is a pale green color, much like you would expect for a daughter of Frankenstein’s Monster. This series of Monster High dolls seems to be a real basic edition where they are dressed for a slumber party, so they don’t have a lot of fancy adornments or a bunch of accessories. I don’t know what you would expect for 11-12 dollars. I think these dolls are really cute and after receiving this as my first in the Monster High series, I am definitely going to buy more.
